WHAT IS GEARSKIN MADE OF?
GEARSKIN™ is made of high quality materials like polyamid/cotton – cordura and nylon/cotton – NyCo with some patterns having interwoven rip-stop reinforcement threads in a crosshatch pattern.

WHAT IS THE TEXTURE LIKE?
It’s like the texture of all other military clothing made out of the same materials as Gearskin™.

HOW LONG WILL GEARSKIN™ STICK TO MY GEAR?
Our studies show that some camos stick after 3+ years, even tested on a cell phone with everyday use, GEARSKIN™ was on no matter what.

IS GEARSKIN™ FIELD TESTED?
Definitely YES. GEARSKIN™ was tested by RONIN TACTICS and theid comrades overseas (some of them incl. 1st-SFOD-D, 1st SFOD-A, 10th Special Forces Group, SWAT, etc.), British reserves, Croatian troops and Airsofters arround the globe. It was also heavy crash, field and lab tested by us. You can find some of the tests in the video section, but also read the entire website content in order to better understand the high quality of our product.

HOW MUCH SURFACE CAN I COVER WITH A SINGLE GEARSKIN PACKAGE?
A single package of Gearskin™ is more than enough to cover a set of magazines and a good portion of a standard size rifle.

WILL MORE COLORS BE AVAILABLE IN THE FUTURE?
As a company, we are always looking for new ways to expand and improve our product range so the answer is yes, there will be more colors and patterns in the future.

WHAT ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES DOES GEARSKIN HAVE IF YOU COMPARE IT TO CAMO TAPES AVAILABLE ON THE MARKET TODAY?
We can say that GEARSKIN™ is not like other camo tapes on the market. Materials used for production are all mil spec quality. Features that Gearskin has are water and oil repellency, dirt and dust resistance, IR resistance, rip-stop characteristics, anti-wrinkle, anti-abrasion and environment friendly properties. For example, a certain camo tape works well with multi layered application while Gearskin works best with only a single layer.

HOW DOES GEARSKIN HANDLE HEAT?
We have tested Gearskin™ to various temperatures, with the maximum being 300°C (572°F) with jet blow torch. Gearskin™ did not catch fire and the residue filled all the micro gaps on the material (material in question was metal) thus creating a very strong bond. Nevertheless we do not recommend applying Gearskin™ to the objects which can develop high temperatures (gun barrels, sound suppressors, etc. ).

These dimensions should suffice any users need on camouflaging gear and rifles.

HOW DURABLE IS GEARSKIN?
Very. It is made of materials which are meant to satisfy the highest military and law enforcement standards and heavy duty use. It has a high ripping point. A sample 2″ (5cm) wide and 6″ (15cm) long can withstand a 277 pound (126 kg) load before snapping.If it is used properly and in accordance with user manual Gearskin™ is a product which can last for a long time.

HOW MANY TIMES CAN I USE GEARSKIN?
It all depends on the user. Gearskin™ can be used as a temporary or a permanent solution. If Gearskin™ is used as a temporary solution during a single event (for example, an airsoft skirmish or a tactical drill) you can simply remove it after use and store it in accordance with the user manual. Next time, take the same sample and use it again. This process can last for a very long time. Some of our samples were used and abused in such way for a few hundred times.

WHAT CAMOUFLAGE PATTERNS ARE AVAILABLE?
We have produced GEARSKIN™ in eight different camouflage patterns: MultiCam Original, Multicam Black, Multicam Tropic, Multicam Arid, Digital woodland CROPAT, Digital desert CROPAT, Digital navy CROPAT, Digital woodland (AOR2), Digital desert (AOR1), US WOODLAND, 3 Color desert, Italian Vegetato, German Flecktarn, ATACS AU, ATACS FG, USMC NAVY and a multitude of solid colors. In the future we plan to make our offer more diverse and introduce new patterns.

DOES GEARSKIN ADHESIVE LEAVE RESIDUE?
We like to call Gearskin™ a smart, self-adhesive fabric. High quality adhesive used on our products has a “curing time” which means the longer the fabric stays on a surface, the stronger the adhesive will become and develop a better grip with the surface. If Gearskin™ is meant to stay on a surface for a shorter period of time, it will leave minimum to no residue and vice versa. We also have to point out that if the residue does occur, it is easily removed.

WILL GEARSKIN™ FALL OFF WHEN IT GETS WET?
No matter how harsh climate conditions are GEARSKIN™ will stick. The other thing is if you try to apply it on a wet surface, that won’t be available, but even when adhesive gets wet, dry it out and it will stick perfectly.

WILL IT LEAVE ABRASIONS ON THE SKIN IF IT COMES IN CONTACT?
It will not leave abrasions on the skin. Gearskin™ is safe to use if it comes in contact with the human body. All of the fabrics used in GEARSKIN™ production are Öeko-test certified and tested for harmful substances ensuring a 100% environment friendly and human safe products.
